Modern Islam or Salem (Peace), Frau Imamin, 18 of June 2017

Modern Islam has finally arrived. Selam, Frau Imamin is the title of the book of Seyran Ates, female Imam of the first liberal Mosque.

Modern Islam

So, this place of modern Islam is on the third floor of the Lutheran St. Johannes Church in Berlin – Moabit. Its name is the Ibn Ruschd – Goethe – Moschee. Ibn Ruschd (1126 to 1198) was an Arabic Islam scholar and a physician. He was also known as Averroes.

This Mosque of modern Islam will be open to all and the Qur’an will be interpreted in a historical and critical manner. The Imam is a Imamess, Seyran Ates. She came to Germany at the age of six, has a German education and she became a solicitor.

The Mosque will be open to all, with one exception. Entry is not permitted wearing a Burka or a Niqab. A Burka is covering the whole face with a grid to allow the wearer to look out. Yet a Niqab leaves the eyes open, but not the face. Hijab and Chador leave the face open. Mrs. Ates did not ban those! So how modern is modern Islam?

Mrs. Ates feels enraged about fundamentalist tendencies within Islam. In Germany, Islam is ruled by the Turkish Government, she complains. Most Imams have a disturbed relationship with Religious Freedom, Emancipation of women and the Right to be Homosexual, so the Imamess. Current Islam is from the day before yesterday and consequently, liberal Moslems and modern Islam are homeless in Germany.

Modern Islam’s Common Thought with Us!

This is not the first book by Seyran Ates. In 2007, she published, ‘Multi Kulti Irrtum,’ the Error of Multiculturalism. In this she complained about the Multiculti fans. Their disinterest towards migrants in the guise of tolerance is responsible for the ‘horrible side by side of the different cultures!’

Now this is a very important and true point. How can somebody be tolerant who has not studied the entire Qur’an in detail? And of those who did who can see religious freedom in these verses:

Sura 4: 88 & 89, ‘What is [the matter] with you [that you are] two groups concerning the hypocrites, while Allah has made them fall back [into error and disbelief] for what they earned. Do you wish to guide those whom Allah has sent astray? And he whom Allah sends astray – never will you find for him a way [of guidance]. They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate in way of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.’

So, how many ‘integrated’ Moslems in the West know these verses?

Particularly interesting

would be how Mrs. Ates would justify the exclusion of Burka and Niqab. Sura 33: 59, ‘O Prophet! say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers that they let down upon them their over-garments; this will be more proper, that they may be known (some modern translations insert here ‘to be good’, but it does not say that), and not harmed; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.’

In the chapter on the ‘Original Sin’ in Greetings from Paradise I have explained this verse. The known, cannot mean that the head cloth makes a woman more recognisable. It means that her owner or husband knows that she is bearing his own child!

Would she preach sexual freedom for women? Or would she rather preach mutual enslavement of husband and wife as Ancient owned women. Would she enforce this violence against God’s will and Nature via modern TV family values? Would she cause her followers to force themselves into denying their God – given feelings?

Now, if there can be a version of Islam so far distant to the Qur’an, maybe we can have a our own Church also. Our Church would have no distance from scripture but would base itself on the true Ancient meaning of scripture. It would promote a society of sexual happiness. It would base the social rules of this society on deep psychological insight of the human being. I have explained in Greetings from Paradise how these Ancient Scriptures give us this insight.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
